About Borja Redondo

I am a professional with more than 18 years of experience helping Financial Institutions (with focus on Wholesale Banking activity) in the adaptation to Regulatory Requirements, business evolution and transformation and process reengineering. I have participated in a large number of projects in Financial Institutions in Spain and internationally, both in the US, UK, Brazil, Chile, Peru and Portugal. I am currently Director at Management Solutions where I joined after covering a position at the Commercial Office of the Spanish Embassy in Chicago (USA). More than fifteen years in consulting have allowed me to get to know from the inside many companies and ways of working as well as to face different professional challenges and provide solutions to the problems posed by clients, highlighting the following- Elaboration of a 5-year Strategic Plan for the evolution of a Spanish financial entity- Diagnosis for the development of new business activities in European and Latin American entities- Banking license application to the Regulator for two Spanish entities- Definition of the Risk function for a European payment institution- Definition of the Middle Office functions for a Latin American entity- Review of the organizational and governance model of the Risk function in a Supervisory Body- Analysis and review of the Risk Function of a US entity and proposal of the Organizational Model- Analysis of impacts and implementation of Regulatory Requirements (Volcker, Mifid, DFA) in different financial institutions- Analysis and identification of efficiency opportunities in the central services of a Spanish Financial Institution- Analysis of the Treasury Operations and customer support processes of a Brazilian financial institution for the identification of process improvement opportunities and evaluation of installed capacity- Analysis of the payments process of a Latin American Entity for adherence to the payment clearinghouse- Definition, selection and implementation of specialized Treasury tools (Rates, FX, Derivatives) in different European and Latin American Entities- Participation in integration processes of companies after the merger of Entities. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, performing outdoor activities and playing the guitar (although here I have huge room for improvement).
