I am a qualified accountant with over 19 years experience of working in a non for profit organisations, 13 of which are at the Senior Management Team level. A senior finance professional with responsibilities for all the statutory returns to the Charity Commission, Companies House, HMRC and give advice on VAT issues. I produce the statutory accounts and liaise with the external auditors. I am responsible for the finance function including treasury management, budgeting, monthly management account reporting to ensure good financial control. I have engaged in other finance roles such as internal audit. I have the experience in leading and managing change in a complex environment with a track record of developing innovative solutions to issues. I contribute to the strategic direction of an organisation and ensure effective delivery with a sound financial strategy and risk management. I manage finance teams and provide training. I have strong negotiating skills with the ability to persuade and influence others. I am adept in the use of Sun, Masterpiece and PS Financial systems, Alms Net database for income processing, grant payment and legacy administration. Prologue and ADP payroll packages, Coldharbour billing system,'CARE' database for membership,training and events administration, Vision Executive, Vision Excel, Microsoft word, Excel and Outlook.
