Selected as the 2015 recipient of the Sierra Club's Ansel Adams Award for Conservation Photography. Selected as "One of the 40 most influential photographers in nature photography worldwide"​ by Outdoor Photography Magazine U.K. Author/photographer of 17 books. My newest is CONSERVATION PHOTOGRAPHY HANDBOOK: HOW TO SAVE THE WORLD ONE PHOTO AT A TIME. My books have ranged in topics from African elephants and mountain gorillas to Siberia's Lake Baikal and Alaska wilderness. Widely published - tens of thousands of photos in major magazines and book publishers in North America and Europe. Ecotourism consultant - I have worked with people in Tanzania, Siberia (Lake Baikal region) and Peru in establishing and promoting ecotourism companies. I have stock photography files dating from the early 1960s and numbering about Worldwide coverage ranges from the Arctic to Antarctic, tundra to rainforest, wilderness, wildlife, people, cultures. I'm an experienced and award-winning video producer and I've written, filmed and edited promotional videos for eco-tourism companies in Peru, Tanzania and Alaska. Expert on nuclear reactor safety (they aren't!) Specialties: Adventure travel, wildlife, wilderness, ecotourism, indigenous cultures. I've made over 50 trips to Africa, spent almost days in Serengeti ecosystem. Also made 10 trips to Siberia, have the largest collection of Lake Baikal photos outside Russia.
