About Boyuan Liu
I am a passionate and curious biomechanical researcher. I enjoy tackling bone and cartilage-related biological problems with an engineering approach. Currently, I am a postdoc at the University of Colorado Boulder. For my research, I design, fabricate, and test biodegradable load-bearing unit-cell scaffolds for osteochondral regeneration. For my Ph.D, I studied the mechanosensitivity of bone metastatic breast cancer using an in-vitro mechanical loading model. My current and past research projects utilized many fascinating techniques and tools, including CAD, implicit modeling, DLP 3D printing, micro-CT reconstruction, multi-physics computational simulations, cell culture, and endpoint molecular biology. I am always eager to learn new skills and new knowledge. I am open to new opportunities and challenges.
