About Brad Abbott

Being a business school graduate of CMU, I have long dreamt of owning and building my own company based on family values and customer service. In January of 2010, I was introduced to the idea of starting a junk removal business. The next month Chuck It Junk Removal was established as a licensed and insured Michigan company servicing customers in Southeast Michigan. My forte is in Business and Operations Management. I have gained expertise by serving successfully in several phases within the business arena. As Director of Business Operations, I was responsible for day-to-day operations of purchasing, program management, sales and account management, marketing, and prototyping and testing departments. I determined staffing requirements based on volume of work required to meet program timelines; and was responsible for achieving budget as well as planning, implementing and evaluating business plans. I guaranteed that we followed our company’s business operating system and our customers’ specific product development systems to ensure consistency and quality of all deliverables. I coached, mentored and developed managers and staff to improve their personal performance as well as that of the company. I also managed development teams from a broad milestone perspective, and supported our parent company with global sales. As Account Manager, I developed relationships with all levels of client personnel. I participated in sales presentations to compete and acquire new business, and provided timely quotes that met customer price targets while maintaining program profitability goals. I successfully negotiated all design change cost impacts to programs, and managed purchasing and program management personnel. Within the context of good business management, I have participated in the development of business plans that meet company objectives and customer acceptance standards.
