About Brad Baumgarten

I'm a BIG guy with a BIG heart! My passion has been the driving force for my life. I grew up on the gridiron playing football and was committed to improving myself and others each day to accomplish our goals and get the big win. That commitment taught me that I could not improve myself without improving the lives of those around me because the more people united for a cause the bigger the goal that can be achieved. Thus, my commitment to compassion, leadership, and knowledge. The Athletic Training field seemed like a natural fit from the beginning. It combined the virtue of caring for others with the drive to accomplish great athletic pursuits. I was able to express my knowledge of injury prevention, injury assessment, modalities, and rehabilitation to help athletes thrive in reaching their goal of getting back to play. My compassion for others leads me to pursue an endeavor in the not-for-profit sector where I helped women in crisis pregnancies. The not-for-profit sector was a blessing to show my leadership abilities and gain much experience in the practical side of an organization. I was involved in strategic thinking meetings, management of employees, development, and implementation of policies while maintaining relationships with clients and volunteers. It taught me how to balance detailed clerical administration duties while staying committed to our goal of helping others. The outreach I did to promote our cause blessed me the recognition to become a speaker. I was asked to speak at local events as well as an opportunity to speak on the national stage. I receive much joy in supporting those around me by leading from behind and encouraging others to be their best. With continued learning about how to be more effective and efficient will produce great opportunities to grow an organization and oneself.
