About Brad Gillis

Brad has over twenty-five years of payment industry experience, leading and working with various payments and broader banking industry sector organisations. He has gained deep insights into a range of stakeholders, including banks, FinTech, mobile network operators, industry associations, and regulatory bodies internationally, across South Africa, SADC, CMA, and the broader African continent. In his current role as Africa Regions Head of Regional Payments and Collections as well as Group Remittance Domain lead at Standard Bank, Brad's work extends to over 20 countries, leading the enablement of digital payment platforms and ecosystems, driving transaction volume growth, and enhancing customer experience-led revenues. This includes his role as Standard Bank group lead on the CMA cross-border payments regularisation program. His portfolio also includes leading the Group Remittances Domain, focusing on driving value through cross-border interoperability between traditional and non-traditional payment and store of value form factors.
