I am an experienced IT leader with 15+ years of guiding organizations through complex technology transformations. My background spans platform engineering, site reliability, automation strategy, and collaborative consulting, making me an effective and trusted leader focused on sustainable, modern IT solutions.In my current role as Platform Engineering Manager at General Motors, I lead the Core Engineering team responsible for Linux standardization, automation, and modernization across GM’s complex hybrid multi-cloud environment. Notable achievements include:+ Driving the Linux Simplification initiative, consolidating more than a dozen operating system variations to two primary platforms while reducing technical debt, licensing costs, and operational complexity.+ Negotiating and securing GM’s transition to Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Red Hat OpenShift, partnering with the vendor and internal teams to build a sustainable, secure, and supportable ecosystem.+Championing Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) adoption, leading the shift from legacy tools to modern infrastructure-as-code practices that enable faster, more reliable deployments.+ Supporting NextGen Platform strategy, laying the groundwork to move GM away from traditional virtualization toward modern container platforms like OpenShift to improve developer experience and resiliency.+ Fostering a collaborative, One Team culture, ensuring cross-functional engagement, transparent governance, and continuous learning across ~55 data centers and countless workloads.Outside of GM, I am the founder of Head Consulting, LLC, where I help small businesses adopt cost-effective technology solutions, streamline operations, and modernize their systems to support growth.
