Howdy friend, thanks for dropping by! Whether you’re a set of inquisitive eyes or just cruising by, I’m glad you stopped for a chat. Before you head off, let me tell you a little about myself. Pull up a seat by the bonfire and rest awhile. I’m currently working as a Content Creator at FDC, where I work with clients to share their stories about their adventures in the world of business and beyond. Whether it’s imparting some wisdom of hard lessons learned or sharing their triumphant victories, I help bring those tales to life with a keen eye for detail and a dash of panache. The path to this point has been an odd one, but it’s a journey I’d happily take again. After wrapping up my Master's in Creative Writing at Rhodes University, I started working as a journalist for Stuff Magazine. The leap into the consumer electronics sector was a daunting change: While I’d spent a year working as a writer for the South African video game website Critical Hit, moving into tech was a leap of faith. Fortunately, it worked out in the end, as I was eventually promoted to Deputy Digital Editor before making the next major shift in my career: News Editor at CBR. Working for an international website was especially scary, but it helped demonstrate that my career wasn’t defined by the borders of South Africa. After several happy years writing about superhero movies and comic books, I went freelance and began sharing my insights with a variety of sites. The Escapist, Screen Rant, and Rock, Paper, Shotgun, to name a few. At the core of my career, stories have always been the most important aspect. Whether it’s talking about my love of superheroes or shining the spotlight on someone else, stories are the way I connect with people.
