About Brad Lyons

As a managing partner and owner of a software integration firm for 16 years, I was privileged to work on over 100 software development and integration projects. I served many roles including account manager, practice lead, business analyst, and project manager while simultaneously performing the myriad of internal operational functions necessary to build and grow a business. I managed a lot of very successful projects. I made a lot of mistakes. I got the opportunity to work closely with a lot of bright people, and at a lot of successful companies. I helped clients solve a lot of stubborn challenges. Through it all, I learned a lot: • About how successful companies do business. • About impactful leadership stemming from effective communication. • About what distinguishes a successful project from one that could have been better. • About the powerful outcomes that can emerge when you challenge the status quo. • About how the application of technology can aid the path to overcoming challenges, but is helpless without the support of people and processes. • About the value of integrity and accountability. Most of all, I learned about myself, the type of work I want to do, what I am good at, and what keeps me going. I want to solve stubborn challenges. I want to inspire teammates to solve challenges. I want to find a better way.
