I’m a passionate leader in the tech industry with over 20 years of experience in software engineering, where I've honed my expertise in AI, public cloud technologies, and strategic team leadership. Currently, as the sr. Director of Software Engineering at UnitedHealth Group, I am dedicated to advancing scalable and innovative digital solutions that enhance user experiences and operational efficiency. My career journey began after graduating from Purdue University. I started as a Software Engineer at ROI Systems Group, progressing through various technical and leadership roles at companies like Open Solutions and T2 Systems, before taking on executive positions at First Internet Bank and Optum. Each role fortified my skills in managing large teams, spearheading major infrastructural changes, and delivering high-impact projects with budgets exceeding $15 million. Some of my proudest achievements include leading the modernization of legacy systems to a fully managed AWS cloud architecture, which significantly increased system uptime to I also championed the integration of AI technologies at Optum, enhancing productivity and reducing costs. My efforts were recognized with the prestigious "Make IT Happen" award in 2022 for my contributions to software engineering and innovation. What sets me apart is my people-first approach. I believe in empowering teams, which has consistently resulted in higher productivity and a positive employee experience, scoring on average 7 points higher than peers in bi-annual surveys.
