About Brad Myrick

Ever since I was young, I have had a passion for exploring how things work and the process of making them. Over the years, I have also developed a passion for construction; physically building a home or even a small project creates a profound sense of accomplishment. As a result, I have dedicated my career to Product Development in the Building Products industry. Now, I drive Product Innovation and build teams through coaching, passionate debate, rigorous testing, and being authentic with those I encounter. I have been the Director of Product Engineering for Ply Gem Windows, a division of Cornerstone Building Brands, since 2010. I am responsible for Product Design, Drafting, Project Management, Code Compliance, and Product Testing. Product Design: I drive New Product Development as well as Continuous Improvement of existing products. My team and I developed and launched the highest-selling window product in the U.S. market today, accounting for well over $250 million in annual sales. I work closely with Process Engineering teams to reduce cycle times and work content by changing aspects of our product designs. I have achieved cost savings exceeding $1.5 million annually by implementing product and material changes. Project Management: I have implemented a disciplined stage-gate process for driving new products and new production lines into our facilities. This process hinges on regular, clear, and concise Communication to critical stakeholders, including the Executive Leadership Team. I am also responsible for managing our overall Project Dashboard and laying out Roadmaps for implementations. Testing and Code Compliance: I have developed one of the strongest testing and compliance teams in our industry. We pride ourselves on being diligent with every aspect, ensuring strict adherence to all ASTM testing standards. Furthermore, I focus on staying current on all upcoming code changes and devise plans to ensure our products will meet them. I am also focused on the Energy Performance of our products and experiment with new methods to come up with best-in-class ways to improve.
