About Brad Pickard

Brad Pickard’s approach to practice at Oxbow understands design to be an inclusive act, one that bridges disciplines and builds communities. Through his 10 years of experience as an architect and designer in Saskatchewan, Brad has been responsible for the design of numerous award-winning projects throughout his home province. Having graduated with the 2010 RAIC Student Medal from Dalhousie University’s School of Architecture, his experience in practice has carried him to communities throughout Canada, UK, EU, and Africa. In 2010 Brad began his professional experience as a graduate architect with Dalhousie University’s applied research group: Cities and Environment Unit, where he was the principal designer with contributions to award-winning planning work with First Nations across Saskatchewan, and continues through on-going research and academic pursuits with Dalhousie University as a Sessional Instructor. In parallel with his academic and professional practice as an architect, Brad has collaborated with artists and designers from across Canada on work exhibited nationally on a variety of platforms, including part of Canada’s official entry to the 2012 Venice Biennale: Migrating Landscapes and 2016 Winnipeg Cool Gardens.
