About Brad Pollak

I am a career development coach. I teach college students how to tell their story during their job search so they can market themselves with confidence and have a better chance of finding the job they want. I teach workshops and webinars to college students across all disciplines, including Career Technical Education. I am hired by CTE Deans, Strong Workforce Initiative Leads, and all agencies with the responsibility to prepare students for employment. My two main workshops/webinars are "How To Tell Your Story & Interview Well During Your Job Search" and "How To Set Up & Conduct Informational Interviews During The Job Search Process." I believe that everyone has an important story to tell, no matter how little experience they have. By teaching our students how to tell their story, this will increase their level of confidence when they're told,"Tell me about yourself," or when they're asked,"Why do you want to work here?" or "Why should we hire you?" Some of my clients include Citrus College, Rio Hondo College, Long Beach City College, Mt. San Antonio College, Santa Monica College, Saddleback College, University of Phoenix, El Camino College, East LA College, Los Angeles Southwest College, LA Trade Tech, and more. I find the work invigorating and gratifying, and I learn as much from my students as I hope they learn from me. My focus is to help them cross the bridge from the classroom to the workplace with confidence, enthusiasm, a great attitude and the knowledge that they will make a difference in the work that they do. I am also very proud to be the Director of the Long Beach Small Business Development Center (SBDC), where I specialize in business start-ups, leadership, management, marketing strategies, and business planning.
