About Brad Sass

As an Operations Manager at the University of Alberta, I oversee the HiMARC Initiative, a research consortium that focuses on the mental health and resilience of Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans, Public Safety Personnel, and front-line Healthcare workers. With over 10 years of experience in public administration and operations management, I am passionate about supporting the well-being of these groups and their families, as well as advancing evidence-based interventions and practices in the field of rehabilitation medicine. I have a proven track record of leading complex and multidisciplinary projects, managing multimillion dollar budgets, and establishing and revising policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and performance. I have also demonstrated strong leadership and team building skills, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment, resolving conflicts and grievances, and engaging with various stakeholders and partners. Additionally, I have a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Direxion Executive Development Leadership Program certificate, which have enhanced my strategic thinking, communication, and analytical skills. I am honored to have received the Corrections Exemplary Service Medal and the Regional Honours Leadership Award for my outstanding contributions to the public service.
