Brad has over 25 years of experience as a taxation specialist, most recently as a Tax Partner in the Edmonton office of a Big Four CA firm. Brad has completed the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants’ In-Depth Taxation Course, the Advanced Corporate Reorganizations Course and the Advanced Wealth Management Course. He specializes in consulting in the area of Canadian and international taxation matters including corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions and succession planning for family-owned businesses. A former high school teacher, Brad has been a lecturer for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta, the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and has been a frequent advisor to the media on income tax matters. Brad has been very involved in community service and has been active on several boards of not-for-profit organizations. He has had a remarkable career to date, having been described in Parliament by former federal Finance Minister and Prime Minister Paul Martin as an "eminent tax accountant"(Hansard - March for his role in recognizing and responding to the Federal Budget's taxation inequity for Albertans. Brad was named to Alberta Venture Magazine's list of "Alberta's 50 Most Influential People" and was named a recipient of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta’s Early Achievement Award. Brad was recognized as a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta in 2022 and was a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee Medal in 2023.
