About Brad Zylstra

One of my favorite things to do is fixing business problems! I enjoy taking a deep dive to thoroughly understand what is going on, outlining a process, gathering metrics, running statistical analysis, and just plain talking to people about it. Then comes the fun part in coming up with a solution and running a project to implement it. Throughout my career, I have learned what works and what doesn't. I am skilled in several methodologies that have enabled me to run successful, money saving projects and as a result, have led teams to do the same. I really get a kick out of teaching others and giving presentations on the latest discoveries. Accounting and finance are second nature to me ever since high school. I have an innate ability to look at a complex situation, break down the parts, connect the dots, and make sense of it all. I have applied my skills and abilities to a wide variety of disciplines and settings- including IT, HR, and Procurement. My career at Pacific Life focused mostly on improving Accounting processes through process improvement projects and systems implementations. I seem to have a knack at implementing reconciliation systems, the latest being the Account Reconciliation module of Oracle EPM (ARCS). I am known as the resident subject matter expert for this software. I have also learned quite a bit how Oracle EPM Task Manager works to help manage close processes.
