The healthcare industry is facing increasing pressure to deliver better patient outcomes while controlling costs and adapting to rapidly evolving technologies. One of the critical challenges many healthcare organizations face is the integration of clinical and technological systems. Fragmented patient data, inefficient workflows, and the complexity of electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems can lead to slower care delivery, errors in diagnosis, and suboptimal patient outcomes. As the need for more effective, data-driven solutions grows, the role of health informatics professionals has become indispensable in bridging the gap between clinical practice and technology. In my role as a Physical Therapist with one year of experience, I have directly observed these challenges in practice. By utilizing digital tools to track patient progress and treatment plans, I successfully decreased patient rehabilitation timelines, ensuring that patients received timely interventions and improved outcomes. Additionally, my hands-on experience with EHR/EMR systems has given me valuable insight into the complexities and inefficiencies within healthcare data management, further fueling my passion for improving these systems from within. My background in physical therapy, coupled with my commitment to technology-driven solutions, enables me to offer a unique perspective to Healthcare. I am skilled at identifying clinical pain points, understanding the challenges clinicians face, and leveraging technology to improve patient care and optimize workflows.
