I gained a solid foundation in marine insurance at Steamship Mutual P&I Club, where I learned P&I insurance from the ground up. This was further reinforced by significant market exposure and the demands of working with various broking houses. In broking, I managed claims across the full spectrum of marine insurance, including: 1. Hull and Machinery: Placed under various conditions, from American Hulls to the Nordic Plan. P&I Insurance: Managed mutual, fixed, and co-joint placements with Hull and Machinery. Marine Liability: Covered Ports and Terminals, excess liability programs, Builders Risk, Stevedore Liability, Pollution Claims, and Freight Forwarders, including airfreight. My career began with handling P&I claims for Offshore Drilling Contractors, sparking a lasting interest in the offshore sector. I've consistently supported energy claims teams and directly handled energy market claims at RKH Specialty (Howden). I've also completed several professional qualifications, from the CII, AA, and PETEX, which deepened my understanding of marine and offshore insurance. Additionally, I hold Leadership and Management qualifications, enhancing my ability to manage a small team. I now work in Customer Relationship Management at Travelers.
