About Bradley Batte

I have been with the Illinois Department of Agriculture: Bureau of Warehouses for nearly a decade. We work to make sure both Grain Dealer and Grain Warehouse Licensee's are following the rules and regulations of The Illinois Grain Code. We examine privately owned elevators, Grain Cooperatives, National and Multi-national Licensees. Over my 9 years with the Bureau I have continued to expand my knowledge about the grain industry and the elevators we regulate, while maintaining a good working relationship within the industry.Over the past few years I have been going into the main office in Springfield to complete our monthly and quarterly reconciliation of the Illinois Grain insurance fund, general revenue fund, and regulatory fund-The Illinois grain insurance fund is paid in by all State-licensed grain dealer and grain warehouses. The fund was created to protect against losses associated with failed grain dealers and warehouses.
