Bio for Bradley W. Carpentier, MD Dr. Carpentier has been practicing Pain Medicine exclusively since 1997. He is board certified in Anesthesiology and in Pain Medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology. After earning his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, Dr. Carpentier completed an Internal Medicine internship at Methodist Medical Center, Dallas, and completed his residency in Anesthesiology and Pain Management at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas Texas. He is fellowship trained in Pain Medicine at the Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney, Australia, and at Stanford University Medical Center, Stanford, California. He holds ACGME board certification in Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology and practices exclusively Chronic Pain Medicine. Dr. Carpentier is skilled in all facets of Pain Medicine. He has worked with acute pain programs at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas and Stanford University Medical Center in California, the chronic pain program at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula and interdisciplinary pain management programs at Pain Physicians of Monterey in California and the Royal North Shore, Australia. Dr Carpentier is a published academician and was active publishing as a private practitioner. He has published papers in peer reviewed journals including Anesthesiology and the Journal of Neuromodulation, academic posters at national meetings including the American Pain Society and the American Society of Regional Anesthesia, and lectured at the International Neuromodulation Society. His book Unraveling The Mystery of Chronic Pain, What You Need to Know to Get Relief, was published in July of 2014. He has been on the manuscript review board for Pain Medicine. He has held faculty positions at both Scott & White and Stanford University and enjoys teaching medical students, residents and fellows. Dr. Carpentier has particular interest and expertise in Neuromodulation and Spinal Cord Stimulation. He has served on advisory boards for two companies that develop and manufacture spinal cord stimulator devices. He continues to consult for industry on occasion. He taught surgical implantation techniques and helped to train doctors in the use of Spinal Cord Stimulator devices for the treatment of chronic pain for many years. Dr. Carpentier is a native of Central Texas. His hobbies include operating a cattle ranch and cattle breeding program, sailing and welding
