About Bradley Freilich

As the founder and director of the Kansas City Research Institute, Dr, Freilich leads a 12 person group in phase 1-4 clinical research and has been a principal investigator on hundreds of trials over the last 20 years. With a database of over HCV patients, the team participates in the most pivotal HCV studies and has been called on to pioneer first in kind research of novel agents.In 2012, KCRI opened a phase one center and has been succesfully working in the areas of hepatic targeted agents and hepatic impairment trials.With a database of over cirrhotic patients, the main focus of the phase one center is to become actively engaged in conducting hepatic impairment trials and drug interaction trials for any pharmacologic agent that needs to be tested in this area in order to obtain US approval. Work is being conducted with US and ex US companies. Recently they have been working in coordination with several sub investigators of varoius specialties in a 13 hospital network to offer phase one work inthe areas of oncology and renal impairment.Bradley Freilich is a practicing gastroenterologist and hepatologist and principal at Kansas City Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He has been practicing academic style medicine in a private pratice setting for 20 years after graduating from a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at UCLA Medical Center where he worked in clinical and basic molecular immunology research. He has an expertise in hepatology and has one of the largest practices in Hepatitis C in the country.He is the founder and medical director of the Liver and Pancreas Institute at Research Medical Center. This is a leading multidisciplinary team that has expertise in caring for patients with all forms of liver and pancreatic disease through a collaboration with over 8 different medical specialist working in coordination and with acceses to cutting edge therapies and novel clinical trials.
