About Bradley Penner

I graduated Medicine Hat College with a Technology diploma and a 3rd Class Power Engineer. I have worked in the oil and gas industry since 2010, completing my 2nd class power engineering in 2014. I completed my 1st class in October of 2022. I am currently employed with Alta Gas LTD, at the Harmattan Processing and Liquids extraction plant. The plant consists of three Titan 130 Gas turbines with three lb/hr HRSG units. They produce a combined 60 MW of power. There is a sour gas sweetening system, which includes acid gas enrichment via CO2 removal, and the Acid Gas injection system. I did all of the associated water treatment for the HRSG and Waste Heat Boilers. as well as the pre treatment of incoming water. The liquids extraction includes shallow cut, deep cut and fractionation. Gas and liquid supply consists of raw gas that has been processed, as well as gas pulled off the Trans Canada Pipeline. I have experience with high pressure boilers, water treatment, steam driven turbines, Cogen power generation, deep cut and liquid fractionation and synchroscope's. I have worked with waste heat steam generation as well as MCRC and superclaus sulfur generation. Working as a lead operator has me operating boilers, natural gas processing and gas supply field/compressors from the DCS. Emissions monitoring, flare reporting as well as gas allocations and nominations as required for marketing and AER purposes. Through my career I have learned hands on skills in the gas plant as well as leadership skills in the control room. I work well under pressure and always keep a calm and collective mindset. My current role is the Supervisor of Technical operations, and has a focus on facility improvements and optimization. I work to make sure things are efficient as possible, and make sure all options are tested. My direct reports include the field operations team, the propane loadout terminal team, scheduling and marketing and the OMP( Operational Maintenance Projects ) team.
