About Brady Clark

As founder of Sussex Research Laboratories Inc, my passion is in harnessing the potential of glycoscience in the promotion of human health. For over 20 years, I have had the privilege of working with a very talented team of scientists who also share this passion. As a specialist and Contract Research Organization (CRO) in glycan chemistry, Sussex Research has supported a wide variety of drug development companies and academic researchers in areas ranging from hepatic (GalNAc) and extra-hepatic (sialic acid, M6P, etc.) targeting of RNA, lipid, peptide, protein, antibody and small molecule therapeutics as well as Lipid Nanoparticles (LNP) to preclinical development of glycoconjugate vaccines including a sophisticated 24-serotype pneumococcal vaccine (soon to enter Phase and so much in between. Sussex Research translates complex glycan chemistries into unique, leading-edge products and services that enable researchers to explore and exploit glycobiology applications in human health. Applications include drug discovery, drug delivery, drug targeting, carbohydrate-based vaccine development, immunotherapy, therapeutic enhancement, antibody development and diagnostic/bio-analytical assay development.As a veteran business founder, director and research scientist with broad experience and expertise in working with international collaborators and clients based in academia, government, biotech and pharma, my core strengths include an ability to conceive, develop and commercialise ideas, technologies and products based on glycan molecules (saccharides, glycans, glycoamino acids, glycopeptides, glycoligands, glycolipids and glycoconjugates). My principal interests have been in early-stage, preclinical research & development relating to drug discovery, vaccine development, drug delivery/targeting, diagnostics as well as personal care products that incorporate glycotechnology.
