Executive with significant leadership experience in a wide range of areas from marketing to operations to strategic planning to technology development to call center / customer experience management to operational risk management. First 18 years of experience was at industry leader MBNA America, as it grew from a small credit card issuer to become a Fortune 200 company and the largest independent credit card issuer; departed following the merger with Bank of America after serving on the early integration team. While at MBNA, worked in credit card, consumer finance and business lending divisions. Following MBNA, gained additional experience at Comcast and Bridgeforce, also worked as an independent consultant for several other companies, prior to joining PartnersFirst, Minacs, The Bancorp Bank and Venminder. Frequent speaker, writer, and webinar host for risk management and regulatory compliance topics. Serve as an industry expert and advisor to the Risk Management Association, GSRN and as a Member of the Center for Financial Professionals FinTech Advisory Board. Known for being very "hands-on" and involved while also being collaborative in solving problems and extremely responsive to clients' needs. Dedicated operational risk management expert, with a wide background of experience in retail, bank holding and corporate entities. At my highest value, known for focused problem-solving and attention to detail and I truly enjoy public speaking and solving complex issues. Proud to say I did not miss a day of work due to injury or illness for 31 years. Fun fact - I've been to all 50 states! While I am not planning to relocate, I am open to working remotely and am very proficient at doing so with occasional travel as needed. Although I am currently out due to a major medical problem, I plan to return to work in Operational Risk Management in financial services or a closely related field and am VERY MUCH OPEN TO CONTRACT WORK IN THE INTERIM. When I'm not working, you'll usually find me on my bicycle or discussing anything related to my alma mater, Duke Univ.
