About Brandi Utter

I completed a 2 year degree in Medical Billing and Transcription in 2008 from AHP with a Cumulative GPA: 3.46. I have done some freelance transcription in my spare time. I expect to graduate with my second two year degree from Owens Community college in 2015. I am taking Criminal Justice and I plan to continue my education after graduation with what will be my third degree in Political Science. I currently volunteer as a CASA/Gal at Hancock County Voices for Children. This is where my passion lies. The program allows me to spend time in the court room advocating for the rights of children who can not do so for themselves. The program also allows me the ability to help alleviate stress for children while they are going through the court process, and make sure they are safe and are getting everything they may need. I plan to continue to volunteer in the court room advocating for the best interest of children. My idea of the dream job would be to continue what I do as a volunteer in an office setting while using other skills I have acquired through employment and life experiences. My future goal is to spend time after completing my education in Political Science studying the laws that are set up for children making sure they are set up in the child's best interest so children do not suffer when they do go through to court system for any reason.
