About Brandon Barker

I am a going to be a senior at Wayne State College in the fall of 2019 semester. I am working towards a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. I am expected to graduate at the end of the 2020 spring semester. I am extremely business minded and always seek ways to improve my skills. During my college journey I have taken a path that most people would not typically take. For my passion of continuing playing collegiate baseball and pursuing my education it has led me to attend three different colleges. The three colleges that I have attended are West Hills Community College, Sonoma State University, and Wayne State College. With attending three different colleges in my career it has allowed me to experience different types of cultures. With attending different colleges and being in different cultures it has taught me how to connect with more people on a personal level. With going to different colleges, it shows that I am willing and able to adapt in any type of environment I am put into while also being able to strive in my situation. The Wayne State College baseball team does volunteer work within the community. We volunteer at Little Red Hen Theatre in Wakefield, Nebraska and Wayne Country Club in Wayne, Nebraska. In the summer of 2019 I am currently going through rehab process for Tommy John Surgery. To be able to play baseball at the collegiate level I need to get surgery on my arm, so I can continue to play at my senior season. I am confident I will come back better than ever with the trainers I have been working with this summer! I really look forward to connecting with more of you!
