About Brandon Barker
Hi I'm Brandon and I'm a fourth-year computer engineering major studying at the University of Florida. I grew up in Iowa City, Iowa, and spent much of my time hanging out with my four siblings. My fascination with technology was endless. As a kid I would spend hours programming and teaching others to program. In high school I took up building my own computer which provided a deeper insight into the inner workings of computer. Since coming to the University of Florida, classes such as Digital Logic and Data Structures have confirmed my passion for computer engineering. Learning how computers work on a fundamental level has me excited for what the future holds. I got my first industry experience this summer working as an electrical engineer for Sargent and Lundy, where I worked on upgrading power generation systems at Florida's nuclear plants in Port St Lucie and Turkey Point. Outside of school I enjoy playing sousaphone for the Gator Marching Band and competing for the Florida Running Club
