About Brandon Barry

I am a proud union electrician. I began my apprenticeship with IBEW Local 236 in May of 2007. I graduated in June of 2012. Over the course of my career I have served on some of the largest projects in the area including Globalfoundries Fab 8.1 in Malta, NY, the Lafarge Modernization Project in Ravena, NY, and the SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Albany, NY. In 2015 completed the OSHA 500 and OSHA 510 courses. I am now an instructor for IBEW Local 236 for the OSHA 10 hour and OSHA 30 hour courses. I teach, both, apprentices and journeyman wiremen. I also teach the Foreman Development Series for journeyman wiremen who are contemplating taking on the responsibility of running work. In 2016 I completed my MSHA training and renewed my training ever since. I have served on several MSHA sites including Lafarge/ Holcim Cement, A. Colarusso, Norlite, Lehigh Cement, and Callanan. I have been working for Gross Electric since April of 2016. I started as an journeyman wireman. I ran several projects while working with them. Since June of 2018 I have served as a Safety Officer for Gross Electric at Globalfoundries Fab 8.1. Since August of 2018 I have served as the Safety Manager.
