I am passionate about making education more accessible and affordable through leadership in affordable course materials and Open Educational Resources (OER) initiatives. My work focuses on creating impactful programs that reduce costs for students while enhancing teaching and learning experiences. My key responsibilities include: • Empowering Faculty: Inspiring and supporting faculty to create, adopt, and evaluate OER that improve student outcomes. • Seamless Integration: Coordinating efforts to embed library resources and OER into curricula, enhancing educational quality and affordability. • Campus Engagement: Promoting the benefits of OER to faculty, staff, and students, driving collaboration across departments and disciplines. • Building Community: Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure OER becomes a sustainable part of our institution's academic landscape. • Professional Development: Providing targeted training on OER trends, standards, and best practices through diverse platforms and formats. • Event Management: Leading events and activities that advance open education initiatives and foster a culture of innovation. • Hands-On Training: Delivering web-based and in-person workshops to equip staff and faculty with the tools needed to support open education initiatives effectively. I also contribute to policy development related to copyright, open licensing, and Creative Commons attributions. This work involves strategic partnerships with academic leadership, faculty, and library teams to guide projects that align with institutional goals for educational equity and innovation.
