I have a little over 4 years of experience in Quality Assurance and almost 3 years of experience in Quality Management. Currently, I work as the Quality Manager Representative at the Layton, UT BioLife center, where my key responsibility are to ensure the safety of our donors and the purity of the product we collect meets the standards of our regulating agencies. In my time in Quality Assurance I have prepared for and successfully hosted audits with EMA, CLIA, FDA, and PPTA with no major findings and no 483's. The success of these audits came from my thorough tracking and trending of procedural deviations, operational record review to ensure accuracy and compliance with cGMP requirements, and conduction of monthly quality assurance audits for critical control points and key elements for the systems related to donor suitability, source plasma collection, sample collection, plasma storage, product release, quality assurance, and employee training program. People development has been a big focus of mine as a Quality Manager. I have trained and mentored Quality Lead Technicians and Quality Management Trainees in the BioLife center quality systems. I take the time to question and learn from the line staff to help gain any knowledge of where operational deviations my occur so I am better equipped to address and prevent these deviations from trending.
