About Brandon Davis

Brandon Davis is currently serving as the NCServes Call Center Manager of Veterans Services of the Carolinas with Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry (ABCCM). His duties include the management and oversight of North Carolinas Veterans Coordination and Call Center (NCServes) and works in close collaboration with United Way 211 and the NCCare360 program. Over the last three years Mr. Davis’s leadership has led to a 65% increase in call volume, fielding over calls in 2022. This effort supported over Veterans across the 21-human service needs delta. Mr. Davis has worked to integrate both Federal and State programs within the work flow process of the Unite Us technology to better improve both efficiencies and efficacy in how social services are delivered. This integration has been recognized at the national level by both the Department of Veterans Affairs and US Department of Labor and has become a model of care in NC Medicaid transformation. In addition Mr. Davis has worked with both local and national partnerships that directly impact Veteran care. In 2020, Mr. Davis launched a formal partnership with the Bob Woodruff Foundation, resulting in over $70k to date in resources addressing food insecurity among military-connected communities across North Carolina. His dedication and work with this initiative resulted in Mr. Davis receiving the 2020 Bob Woodruff Foundation American Heroes Award at the Stand Up for Heroes Conference in New York City. Mr. Davis is also an active member in the National Community of Practice at the Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) at Syracuse University where he provides insights that drive policy change at the federal level. Mr. Davis continues to be grounded in local efforts, as well as he provides community wide training on suicide prevention through the Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) modality as a Certified Trainer. He currently serves on Leadership Haywood and the Haywood County Veterans Council and is trained in Mental Health First Aid, Advanced Motivational Interviewing, and Reconnect for Resiliency; all evidence based practices that enhance direct service for our Veteran families. In 2021, he was also highlighted for his service to our nation, continued service and leadership in the Veterans community through the 2021 Got your Six Military Tribute from Pendleton Whiskey. Brandon served 9 years in the US Army and is a combat Veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom as well as a member of the American Legion, VFW, and DAV, he resides in Maggie Valley, NC.
