About Brandon Deel

MY ORIGIN STORY I’ve worked in the field of marketing and communications as long as I’ve been saved by the love and grace of Jesus Christ. It’s fascinating to look back and see how God orchestrates our path. Growing up, I had an enormous amount of creative energy that I didn’t know how to channel. That creative energy got me into a lot of trouble until later in life when I learned what to do with it. My creativity, mixed with an insatiable need to uncover the “reasons why,” have led me down a career path to become a creative strategist with a journalistic approach to design. As a result of struggling to fit in, my spiritual gift as ‘helper’ and my people pleasing tendencies left me studying the people around me to figure out how to make better connections, which I’ve turned into core strengths that drive me to find better solutions for people. Even though I was not born into a family who could give me a good head start in life, my grandmother had an entrepreneurial spirit that still influences me today. She put my brother and I to work at the campground she managed. We worked hard to earn our ziplock bags full of quarters, just so we could spend it all at the campground arcade. Aside from her teaching me the art of garage-sale hopping for the perfect prop, or her masterful way of storytelling, what I remember most was how she cared for her guests. Hundreds of campers would come to her for help throughout the day. Just when I thought she was going to forget someone’s need, she always managed to squeeze every request in before she left for the day. Living up to her ethics are now at my core. Despite the world’s obstacles, I became the first person in my family to graduate from college – 18 years ago I changed a rocky path I was on, to pursue a design career. At the same time, I landed in a local church, got saved, and began sharpening my skills by serving on the communications team where I still volunteer by developing resources so our community can know the true love of Christ. Professionally, I’ve worked in both agency and in-house departments as designer / director, where I’ve contributed towards millions of dollars in growth for hundreds of organizations by staying focused on the fundamentals of branding, marketing, design, and more importantly, customer experience. It’s now my career mission to use those skills to help faith-full organizations have the greatest possible influence.
