About Brandon Douglas

I am the 5-12 Vocal Music Director, 3-6 General Music Teacher, Large Group Speech Coach, Spring Musical Director, and Central Clayton Education Association President for the Central Community School District in Elkader, IA. I am a 2017 graduate from Simpson College with a Bachelor in Music for Music Education. I am also an actor, singer, conductor, songwriter, and composer with musical experience in opera, musicals, masterworks, ensembles, and looking for other professional opportunities. My performance experience includes roles as Max Bialystock in The Producers, Robertson Ay in Mary Poppins, Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi, Sam Kaplan in Street Scene, Aeneas in Dido and Aeneas, Mr. Enoch Snow in Carousel, The Witch in Hansel and Gretel, Don Basilio in Marriage of Figaro, and more. I have performed in a variety of operas, musicals, and plays both as an actor and as a technician with set construction, lighting, sound, and painting. With teaching experience, I have been a private voice teacher, music tutor, and helped students with education coursework. I have worked with many companies and organizations with various positions and leadership roles. I have worked with as an intern for the Des Moines Metro Opera, sales rep for Vector Marketing, Boy Scouts of America (Eagle Scout), Order of the Arrow (Vigil Member), and several more. I was recently the Public Relations Chair for the Kappa Theta Psi Fraternity and President for Simpson Men of Music, both of which are on the Simpson College campus.
