About Brandon Emmick

As a youth I spent my time drawing, building, disassembling and reassembling things to see how they worked. This nurtured a passion for creativity, imagination, and the desire to constantly improve. In grade-school I developed a keen interest in real estate and construction. Over the years I took every chance to gain relevant knowledge: Blueprint reading, woodworking, framing, and roofing at my local Vo-Tech. Plumbing and electrical from family tradesman. Trim work, cabinetry, and more of my own volition. I went on to earn a degree in architectural drafting and design. When I started my career, and I never imagined where it would take me. I started working as a draftsman, but quickly earned more responsibilities allowing me to develop new skill-sets. Drafting homes led to plan reviews, house plan maintenance, and 3D modeling. This opened the door to construction estimating and purchasing, experience operating a design center, and construction system management. Suddenly I found myself changing, I still loved residential design and the creativity it offered, but now I had to dig deeper and understand how it all worked and how to improve upon it. When given the opportunity to build and manage a data analytics department I jumped on it. I learned how to code using MS SQL language, culminating in complex data structures, relational database knowledge, and countless custom reports using Visual Studio and SQL Server Reporting Studio. As a contributor and consultant to the in-house development team, I helped to create a custom ERP software that revolutionized company processes and saved countless hours of manual work. Today I have the privilege of leading a team of Software Development, End-user Service, and Business Intelligence professionals. Together we are forging new ways to support our company's growth, stability, and efficiency. Though I've become a very technical oriented individual, my passions still lie in real estate and residential design. I still build, create, and disassemble things whenever I get the chance.
