About Brandon Harkness

Graduate of the Bachelor of Engineering – Electronic Systems Engineering (ESE) program at Conestoga College. I believe I have the desired combination of skills, related experience and knowledge that is sought in a qualified engineering position. Through project-based learning at Conestoga College in the ESE program, I have accumulated significant experience with the designing, debugging and optimization of real-time embedded systems in C, with FPGA device programming (Altera Cyclone II 2C20), and with DSPs, microcontrollers (HCS12) and real-time operating systems. In addition, studies in Telecommunications and Signal processing, Electronics, Math, Physics, Programming, Digital Systems, and Data Structures and Algorithms have provided a formidable foundation to work in all facets of embedded systems. I believe that my impeccable work ethic, self-driven and adaptable nature, and desire to learn and grow will allow me to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. I have the proven ability to work effectively within a team environment from my work experience, past involvement in team sports, and projects through my program. In addition, I have the keen attention to detail, dependable self-management and punctuality, and professional communication skills necessary to be an asset in an engineering co-op placement.
