Generative AI Lead @ IBM | J.D, Model Risk Expert | Data Science, Python As the Generative AI Lead for Risk & Compliance at IBM, I leverage my legal background and technical skills to create and deliver AI solutions that help large financial institutions detect and prevent financial crime. I landed into this role after building several prototypes on top of OpenAI's GPT APIs and demonstrating them internally. I have since designed and implemented generative AI and other AI solutions for AML, KYC, and Sanctions Screening. I represent the technology transformation side of many consulting and BPO contracts, working on everything from the contract terms to pricing to a transformation plan and governance strategy. My work in GenAI has helped us win deals with several major financial institutions in the last year, for over $20M; there are 10+ more in the pipeline. I work with cross-functional teams across IBM technology, research, consulting, and sales, with roles from executives to interns, engineers to account managers to support teams, and more. I am often asked to represent our technology capabilities (specifically when it comes to GenAI) in client-facing meetings, and have engaged in over 100 client demos showcasing the prototypes I have built. Working with so many people, and especially with clients, is a great opportunity for exposure to new ideas and understanding what it is that will help change the industry. I am passionate about innovation and problem-solving, and I have received multiple awards and dozens of patents for my contributions to the field of AI - focusing on reinforcement learning and AI vision. I have also built a practical and working knowledge of various technologies and I enjoy applying them to different domains and challenges.
