Undoubtedly, partially a result of my military service, I feel that given my skills and confidence throughout my life it would make me a valuable asset to your company- 17 years of customer service skills- Veteran (USMC)- 5 years in the bar/restaurant industry: The Ginger Pad// Jose McIntyre’s// Howl at the Moon// The Times// Meadhall - barback - security - server I spent 5 years as bike messenger in the heart of Boston- delivered large amounts of pizza in the city of Boston- the morning mail to some of the corporate buildings in Boston- the scheduled deliveries for the day, handling anything from blood samples and DNA sequencing samples for all of the big hospitals in the Boston area - architect’s blueprints. Right Coast Couriers(RCC): I delivered large food orders on a bicycle through the streets of Boston. Boston Smoke Shop: Started off as a shop clerk and quickly gained Manager and got to help open and manage my own store. City Express: delivered the morning mail to companies like the Celtics, Converse, Lego, and more. Delivered scheduled pick-ups such as Architectural Blueprints, Housing Samples, and even bank runs. My evening run consisted of collecting blood samples, meeting up with other messengers to collect their samples and finally deliver them to a 3rd party lab. Greater Boston Motorsports- The last 4 years I’ve been working at a motorcycle dealership as a bike porter. The last 3 years I’ve been the Lead Porter at my location. Some of my main duties as a Lead Porter are- Training/shadowing new porters - retrieving motorcycles, any customers bikes or sales units for the Technicians to work on - writing up damage reports upon arrival of any incoming motorcycles- maintaining a tidy work space for all technicians in their garages- washing all bikes prior to customer pick-up - operating a fork lift in a variety of situations like receiving oil deliveries, moving piles of dead/old tires, removal of junk batteries and on a rare occasion the moving of dead and abandoned motorcycles.
