Background
About Brandon Hogberg
I am field based professional geologist, currently working as a contractor to ExxonMobil as a mine production geologist at the Kearl Oilsands operation. My passion in Geology is in aggregates and quaternary process - I have always held field based roles with direct integration to operations. These combined well to push my career into drilling and geotechnical instrumentation and ultimately leading me to operations geology in an active mine.I published my undergraduate thesis in the field of geomorphology and fluvial sedimentology from the University of Calgary under the supervision of Dr. Osborn.Outside of my geological endeavours I am also an active entrepreneur with a landscaping company and a photography company. During the economic downturn following my graduation in 2014, I focused my efforts on being part of the international ice making team for the 2018 winter Olympic games in Korea, an experience I will forever be grateful for
