About Brandon James

I’ve been interested in building things ever since I opened my first tub of Lego’s on my sixth birthday. Throughout over a decade of working in the political world, I have developed an analytical mind, developing and implementing some of the most modern data-driven strategies in the industry. From creating databases from the ground-up to leading large and complex projects with many stakeholders as well as diverse, multidisciplinary teams, I have developed an understanding of the principles underlying data, the collection process, as well as the science of analysis and insight behind that data. My interest has always been in building models, algorithms, and visualizations that support making well informed decisions, including in managing people. I’ve also found a use for these skills in my own life applying both decision science and cognitive science principles to learning. I have been able to adapt to a rapidly-changing environment, using these to teach myself Computer Science through publicly available curriculum and instruction from Harvard, Stanford, and many other educational spaces across the internet. I’m a highly motivated, inquisitive, self-learner who is ready to apply these skills to work for world-changing problems that your company is solving.
