20+ years of experience in medical diagnostics with a focus on consumer oriented design. I was the founder and original CEO of Boston Microfluidics (which later became Weavr Health) where I raised $20M+, built a strategic relationship with Labcorp to developed the first product to enable home collection with results that are concordant with the previous gold standard vaccutainer and contributed to over a dozen patents with 6 issued and many more being prosecuted. I now do consulting for Start Ups, Venture Investors, Private Equity Funds and companies in the Diagnostics and Pharmaceutical industry with a focus on migrating service to the home. Increasingly consumers have an expectation that products and services will come to them and the pandemic has accelerated that transition in healthcare dramatically.
