About Brandon Joutras

I Have 6 years of experience working with and repairing computer hardware and other electronic systems. I worked for two years in a lab assistant position and then in informational technology for Lewis University. After working in IT, I moved to Lewis University's Computer Science Department and became the only worker to maintain and run their 3D printer lab. During my time at Lewis University, I have studied computer programing and software development. I Have become familiar with Python, Java, and C++. In my last two years of study, I have been especially interested in artificial intelligence and data science. Along with my computer science degree, I will receive a minor in mathematics. I hope to use my experience in computer science and mathematics to develop an intelligent system for sports science in an independent study this coming semester. My favored achievements include an induction into Kappa Mu Epsilon and Pi Mu Epsilon math honors societies. I am also proud of my group project participation in the Celebration of Scholarship, in which two classmates and myself developed an intelligent system to buy and trade stock in the stock market. In a simulated environment, where the system was allowed to perform end day trading in real time, the system was regularly able to turn a profit and in extreme cases was able to turn a profit of fourteen fold. Finally, I am proud of my work at Lewis University and especially my inclusion into the fast track program, Where I was able to take graduate level courses alongside my undergraduate classes. I hope to continue my education and receive a degree in Data Science Recommendations: Amanda Harsy: Ray Klump: Gina Martinez: Dana Dominiak:
