As a dedicated and innovative designer at General Motors, I specialize in creating solutions in the seat group, focusing on second-row seats. My career began in manufacturing, working in injection molding facilities, pulling parts from presses, and assembling parts on the line, laying the foundation for my technical skills. I further honed my abilities in the United States Air Force, serving as a heavy equipment operator for five years. This experience instilled in me a strong foundation of leadership, teamwork, and technical proficiency. At General Motors, I drive quality and efficiency with a commitment to safety and excellence. My proactive problem-solving skills led to designing a unique solution for cooling rear brakes, enhancing performance and safety. Recognized for my ability to deliver under tight deadlines, I have contributed to innovative design solutions for various SUV, pickup, and sports car projects. My experience spans instrument panels, chassis, and seats. I have worked on Class A surface parts like knee bolsters, deco, steering closeouts, valance panels, bezels, and BYOM center stacks. Additionally, I have designed front and rear brake cooling systems, brackets, and shielding for under the hood. I integrate and enable seat styling and functionality, including blower units, lumbar packages, side impact airbags, and wire harness creation and routing. Collaboration and continuous improvement are at the core of my professional ethos. I work closely with team members to integrate new design methodologies, enhancing customer satisfaction and driving forward excellence. In my personal life, I am an adventure enthusiast, a proud assistant coach for my daughter's 12U softball team, and I love fishing and burning up the road on my motorcycle.
