About Brandon Middlebrook

I am a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society employed by Zurich North America in Schaumburg, IL as a Senior Actuarial Consultant where I work on the Actuarial Planning and Performance Management Team. My responsibilities on the team include supporting the Financial Plan and execution at the Market Basket level as well as building, implementing, and maintaining our planning database infrastructure in SQL Server.Prior to working at Zurich North America, I worked at CNA Insurance for close to 4 years as part of the actuarial rotational program and State Farm for over a year and half on the Catastrophe Risk Management and Reinsurance Team. I am a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University where I received a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a minor in Statistics and an actuarial option. Throughout my career I have benefited from different roles providing me a concrete foundational experience in catastrophe risk modeling, reinsurance, planning, reserving, and pricing. I have had significant exposure to relational databases and as a result developed an exceptional programing skillset. I am an innovative problem solver always looking for new ways to solve problems whether through actuarial and statistical methodologies or process efficiencies and coding.
