Summa Cum Laude graduate of Baylor University in 2004, where I also honed my software skills at Diebold Card Systems, crafting solutions utilized across university campuses nationwide. Embarked on a transformative journey at Texas A&M University, earning my PhD in 2010. Initially serving as a teaching assistant, I delved into pioneering research spanning sketch recognition, machine learning, and intelligent user interfaces. My contributions extended to vital projects for DARPA, culminating in over 20 published papers. Transitioning seamlessly into industry, I joined CAPSHER Technology, embarking on a 14-year tenure that saw me evolve from a software developer to a lead developer and, ultimately, a software architect. Tasked with crafting tailored software solutions for diverse clientele, I navigated through a myriad of technologies and industries, delivering innovative solutions ranging from desktop applications to cloud-based microservices. Now, at EMPACT Engineering, I embrace the role of a software architect, contributing to the company's trailblazing journey in the utilities sector. Empowered by a "jack of all trades" mindset, I leverage my extensive expertise to pioneer solutions at the intersection of cloud computing, containerization, and beyond, aligning with EMPACT's mission to "find a better way" for clients through technological innovation.
