Ensure all operations are executed safely and efficiently per operator and company standards. Ensure sliding accuracy and efficiency by assisting directional drillers. Coordinate with directional drillers and third parties concerning bottom hole assemblies and proper, efficient building techniques. Accurately complete drilling, IADC, and payroll reports daily. Perform kick detection, pre-planning, and scheduling, supervising drill crew of four and various third-party personnel including directional driller, MWD hands, solids control, mud engineer, and geologist. Pivotal in leading team to optimize rig operation and move times, on H&P rig 315 in the DJ basin,while assisting with optimizing well procedures. Average well time is less than seven days (from 25+ days), with rig move times consistently less than four days. As leader in Safety. Brandon holds a “4 year no osha” safety record on H&P 315, has never sustained an osha recordable injury on his crew, and performed company’s only high angle rescue from derrick board. As leader in Production, drilled 4797’ of formation and 56’ of float equipment in 12-hour tour. Began as Floorhand, working way up to Driller on Rig 284 in the Mesa/Jonah gas field, within three years. Instrumental in reducing average well times from 42 days to 12 days over two-year period.
