About Brandon Shaw

Genomic and precision medicine are at the forefront of healthcare. To harness their full potential, we must navigate the intricacies of genetic testing and results to make this information accessible to everyone. As a certified genetic counselor and experienced educator, I am passionate about making complex genetics concepts easier to understand. I have assisted patients in research-based genome sequencing for rare disease diagnosis, conducted thousands of telephone genetic counseling sessions in English and Spanish to review test results, and distilled complex gene and variant-level information for accurate reporting and risk assessment. Throughout my career, my guiding principle has always been to empower patients and their providers with the most precise and comprehensible information to ensure they can make informed decisions about their health.
