About Brandon Slack

My name is Brandon Slack and I have a passion for programming. In grade 9 I discovered my love for writing code and began self-teaching myself to create games in Flash and AS2, I quickly discovered the limitations of AS2 and proceeded to learn OOP with AS3. After making a few tools, a phone app, and a couple of games I realized I wanted to do more. Dropping Flash I moved on to learn C# and develop games using the Unity3D engine. I have completed many projects utilizing both the Unity engine as well as Visual Studio. Through experimentation modding the popular game Minecraft, as well as a first year Java programming course at U of C, I have accumulated experience with Java. I always look forward to challenges in an effort to expand my skill set. Many of my personal projects have recently been developed using C# including an Android app which leverages multiple APIs to allow direct download of audio from YouTube to the mobile device. Another recent personal project is Command Fire, a Windows desktop application which allows for the creation of custom global keyboard shortcuts.
