About Brandon Soto

I'm Brandon Soto, a Computer Science student at the University of California, Irvine specializing in Information and Intelligent System courses. I have a deep passion for software development and creating solutions for users and companies. I also have a passion for fintech where I built a stock broker app to showcase my knowledge of financial stock markets with technology. I believe in leadership and cross-collaborative practices when working in teams and groups from different backgrounds. In my spare time, I love to play soccer casually and competitively. Soccer has been something I have enjoyed since I was raised in Koreatown and has created many memories. I also enjoy being active by lifting weights and playing other sports such as Basketball and Volleyball. Beyond my educational and professional careers, I go beyond a mission to help underrepresented people and people with limited access to education by sharing educational and professional information as I believe in diversity and inclusivity. I also have a growth mindset where I am able to learn things I'm not familiar with and learn the latest technologies to keep up with industry standards. I have worked with a variety of technologies and languages such as Python, C++, C, Next.js, Javascript, Typescript, MongoDB, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and more.
