About Brandon Teeter

I am a highly motivated and dependable BEng graduate with a great work ethic and a strong sense of teamwork. I am currently completing my Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical engineering at Toronto Metropolitan (Ryerson) University. I was admitted in September of 2018 and plan on graduating in April of 2023. Throughout my undergraduate university career, I have acquired a great deal of indispensable knowledge and skill related to modern mechanical engineering. Some of the most notable of these skills include proficiency in ANSYS, SolidWorks, MS Office, and MATLAB. I have experience with 1D and 2D heat transfer and stress analysis in engineering structures using ANSYS 2022, as well as having completed numerous design projects using SolidWorks. In addition, I have experience with rapid prototyping using, CNC, 3D printing, and hand-shaping using tools. A valuable skill that I have developed throughout my university career is a clear, concise, technical, and logical writing style making use of graphics and lists to aid in presentational clarity. I have worked three jobs in the past 5 years. From 2016-2017, I was a grocery clerk at Metro. In this role, I stocked shelves, and maintained store appearance, the most relevant skill I acquired at this job was training new hires. During the summer of 2019 I was a seasonal water testing lab technician at Pioneer Pools, in this role, I learned customer service, and tech support. From 2020-2022, I worked with Turf Landscaping as a Landscaper. This job gave me invaluable teamwork skills, and the ability to implement quick and functional fixes to equipment in the field, and I learned to quickly adapt to new skills and equipment when necessary. I regularly volunteer to tutor friends, family, and peers, in algebra, calculus, and physics, these opportunities have developed my presentation, explanation, and teaching skills.
